Take this party outside: Craig Costello

Craig Costello

Take this party outside is a collaboration with NY art specialists, KRINK.We asked five artists to hand paint one of our AM-1 all-weather speakers. Naturally the first person we asked was Craig Costello, founder of KRINK.

Craig Costello

Craig Costello a.k.a “Krink,” or “KR,” is one of the most visionary and inspirational street artists today and is also the creator of Krink, a line of the finest quality handmade inks and markers, beloved by artist and vandals alike.

Craig CostelloAn innovator in the art supply industry, Krink offers high-quality, handmade products designed and used by artists. Starting out as a staple in New York City street culture, Krink has grown dramatically, embodying a diverse creative culture and offering products for artists of all types. Working in art and design projects worldwide, Craig Costello developed Krink due to his dissatisfaction with what the market had to offer. In his ongoing effort to build a premier art supply line for a new generation of artists, Costello continues to produce new products while maintaining the brand’s high-quality standard.

Craig’s top 5 tracks for taking the party outside

Jamie xx – hold tight, seesaw,
New order – temptation 7” version
the cure – fire in cairo
bobby shmurda – hot nigga
Clams casino – Natural

The customised speakers will be exhibited in Rough Trade East throughout July. Visitors to the shop can add to the exhibition by colouring in the huge stencil behind the speakers using KRINK markers.
