Tracks to Rio: Chris Bartley, rower

In 2012, key British Olympians and Paralympians such as Sir Chris Hoy and Richard Whitehead wore our headphones both in training and preparation before their main events. Ahead of Rio 2016, a new generation of athletes share with us the music that helps them get into the zone.

Double Olympian rower Chris Bartley will be competing at Rio, his second Olympic games, having narrowly missed on a gold by less than one second at London 2012. He is one of the most experienced rowers in the men’s lightweight squad and was World Champion in 2010

The tracks Chris has chosen are, without a doubt, loud, heavy and totally full-on. Award-winning drive unit design on the P5 Wireless headphones means the bass is powerful but also natural and controlled while subtle details are brought to life.

Chris told us:

“Training is the most important part of my day, I’ve picked tracks that help me get through the long sessions. I’ll also listen to them pre-race as a pick- up”.

Turn on, tune in, work out.
