Mondial de l’Automobile, Paris in October is one of the most important auto shows. Bowers & Wilkins is featured there in both the debut of the Volvo XC90 and in the Maserati Sound Experience.
Bowers & Wilkins stunning in-car entertainment systems will be showcased on two automotive manufacturer stands at the Paris Motor Show in October.
The hugely popular and influential show will see the much-anticipated debut of the new Volvo XC90. This radical reinvention of the luxury SUV is a fitting place to debut the world’s first in-car system to use Bowers & Wilkins tweeter-on-top technology.
Physically separating a tweeter from the confines of a speaker cabinet delivers clearer, purer treble, particularly vital for vocals clarity. While midrange is handled by Bowers & Wilkins signature yellow Kevlar® 100mm drivers, visible but protected by a grille designed for optimum acoustic openness. In all, 19 speakers are precisely placed and tuned to match the interior acoustics of the car.
Volvo’s stand is the place to experience the XC90 for the first time.
As well as first sight and sound of the car itself, Volvo and Bowers & Wilkins have collaborated on two exciting on-stand activities. A full virtual reality headset tour of the XC90, “A Swedish Moment” will let visitors immersive themselves in the XC90 and the Swedish countryside. The headset will be paired with cutting-edge positional sound design played back to users via Bowers & Wilkins P7 headphones.
P7 headphones will also be used on-stand to let visitors listen to podcasts about the XC90.
Bowers & Wilkins in-car systems will also be on show at the Maserati stand, where both its Quattroporte and Ghibli luxury cars with be showcased, each featuring unique Bowers & Wilkins in-car entertainment systems.
Alongside the cars, Bowers & Wilkins 805 Maserati Edition speakers and P5 Maserati Edition headphones will be on display, and Bowers & Wilkins M-1 speakers will be putting the “sound” in the Maserati Sound Experience – a 360 degree surround recreation of the unique roar of a Maserati.
If you’re at the Paris Motor Show, don’t miss out on the most exciting in-car entertainment systems and experiences from Bowers & Wilkins. Hope to see you there…
Both Volvo and Maserati stands are located in Hall 1. The show is open to visitors until 19th October.
