Zeppelin Mini – the wait is over
Zeppelin Mini, the eagerly anticipated little brother of the now iconic B&W Zeppelin iPod speaker, is now available in an increasing number of stores and countries.
Amazon.com and John Lewis.com both have stock as do many Apple stores.
France, Denmark, Spain and Italy should all be be receiving stock this week and many other European countries will be following.
We recommend contacting your local dealer who’ll be able to let you know more exact delivery details.

Woo hoo! I just shot an email to my local authorized dealer to see when they hope to receive the Mini’s in stock.
It would make a nice little companion piece to my Zeppelin.

Hello — I just received my Zeppelin Mini, and it looks gorgeous and classy. Unfortunately, despite the compatibility lists on both B&W’s website and amazon.com, the Mini does not appear to support my iPod 5G or my iPod nano 1G. Is that really the case? Is there anything I can do, short of returning the Mini or buying a new iPod?
Also — the Quickstart materials don’t indicate whether the iPod Touch 3G is supported. That just came out about a month ago, so will it work with the Mini? Thanks in advance for your help!

Just got my Zeppelin Mini from GRAVIS in Stuttgart, Germany. Listening to “Stairway To Heaven” by Led Zeppelin (!!!) and the venerable Köln Konzert by Keith Jarrett. Simply fabulous, great sound and good looks, I’m very happy.

I have an IPOD classic and it simply doesn’t like the software I have (version 1.3). Worse still, I can’t find an upgrade anywhere on itunes

I got my Zeppelin Mini in Huddersfield UK on Friday 6th November and am highly delighted with it. Great middle range and good bass from such a small unit.
Bethany – if you look at this page you will see that the Mini does not support the iPod 5G only the iPod Classic from 2007. It only supports the iPod Nano from 2G.

Just picked up my Mini. Very happy; it’s a lovely piece of kit. Bit disappointed that for £300 B&W can’t supply a USB cable – especially as this is necessary for two of the key advertised functions (connecting as USB speakers and syncing iPod to computer). Still, I had a suitable cable knocking around so not too bad.
Sound using the onboard DAC is wonderful. Would like to know if this is used for other iPhone apps that stream audio (Spotify, etc) and also for USB audio. Can anyone confirm please?

I just got my Mini yesterday and must say I was disappointed with both the sound quality and volume attainable from the Mini. I spent last weekend using a first generation Bose SoundDock that was in a vacation rental home to fill a large room with good quality sound and I don’t believe the Mini has anywhere near that capacity. It will be relegated to being just an expensive speaker for my computer.

That is my advice for anybody who want to buy the zep mini.
I thought also about the mini in order for use with my macbook, but I bought the Bose computer music monitor after listening to the zep mini.
For those who think about the zep mini for use as a primary music system, buy the original zep (I also did), it delivers much fuller music experience.
I like the design and the material quality of the zep mini, but the sound is not worth the 400€. In $ the zep mini is ok, actual € to $ factor is 1,50.
As well the mini seems not to be made for portability, the dock seems to be fragile.
Over all I think the mini is overhyped.
Hope the P5 Headphones will be a screamer…

Purchased the Mini and was a little disappointed with sound quality. It has some nice features ie. sync with itunes and playing directly from computer via usb. However, it was returned.
On the other hand, the larger Zeppelin is tremendous. I will wait for the 2nd iteration prior to purchasing it as I’m sure the same features as the mini will be incorporated sooner or later.
