Acclaimed soul singer and songwriter, Ola Onabule is previewing his latest album, Seven Shades Darker, on Society of Sound next week.
His style effortlessly combines grooves rooted in the soul and blues of the late sixties and seventies with mournful African melodic lines. A perfectionist by nature, Ola recorded the album in his own studio and, in his words, “made fewer compromisese on my sonic ideals than ever before.”
In anticipation of this, here’s a sneak preview of a documentary currently being filmed about Ola.
